How Sweet It Was...

I'm a day late for the little sneak peak on how my Valentine's Night went, so to start off my Valentine's Day was mostly spent at work, since I had to work a 12 hour shift, but oh was it worth it...

I got home to a super romantic candle light dinner that my hubby prepared and the food was so delicious.

For my Mr. Romantic, I made confetti cupcakes topped with strawberries and cream frosting. I made this frosting by scratch and it was so quick and simple.

Strawberries & Cream Frosting

1. 1 stick of unsalted butter - room temperature.
2. 8 oz package of cream cheese - room temperature.
3. 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
4. A dash of salt.
5. Homemade strawberry puree (about 4-5 strawberries with a tad of water in the blender)

Today I joined {Chartreuse & a Twist} on a color combination board inspired by Valentine colors, pink and red. The combination of objects must be anything you find in your home, from clothing, to accessories, home decor, and pretty much anything... Doesn't this sound like fun?

Get inspired and join the fun!

Welcome To The Bonet Residence

After having my front door decorated with different wreaths through the past few months, first Halloween, then Christmas... when it was time to take down my Christmas wreath, my front door looked so plain and blah! I guess I got so use to seeing my front door all dressed up and pretty, so I made a all year long wreath to hang during spring, summer, and autumn.

My Herb Garden

I'm so excited to present to you my own herb garden!

Growing herbs in my own backyard has been a little goal of mine ever since cooking has become a part of my daily routine. Before I got married I only knew how to make a few dishes, but now that I have a husband which loves to try new foods and truly enjoys home cooked meals, I have been cooking like you can't imagine and cooking so superb that maybe I could be the "Next Iron Chef" (lol, ok... just kidding!) But seriously good enough that I never thought I would enjoy cooking as much as I do now, considering I was the queen of making Easy Mac.

Using fresh and healthy ingredients has definitely been a priority in our kitchen, since there is so much crap being put into our foods now in days. So consider this my first step to a healthier lifestyle.

Lynett B. Photography

To all the beautiful mommy's and soon to be mommy's:

My beautiful, creative and very talented sister-in-law has launched her very own photography company Lynett B. Photography. I can not express how much she truly enjoys capturing moments of babies, children, and families as they unfold.

Taking professional photos of your little gift from God is the most precious and valuable gift to yourself that you and your family will cherish for the rest of your life.

Here's a little peak of her work.

If you live in Miami, Florida and would like to schedule a session please jump on over to

Thank you!

Beauty of A Room

Beauty of A Room

Just another color theme inspiration for my spare bedroom. Although this set is obviously a living room, I have in mind to utilize similar items such as the vintage gold frames, black & white, leopard accessories and a little bit of pink here and there.

I have quite a few different ideas for this space of mine, but I have to organize and empty the room before I begin to purchase anything and maybe re-paint. The current color of the room is this perfect shade of turquoise that I really really love, but I might go towards a different direction, will see...

I'd show you pictures of the spare bedroom, but I'll scare you with the scattered and mix-use of the space. Stayed tuned for pictures of a clean slate and then before and after pictures.

Spring Fever

It's Friday's Fancies Time!

Spring Fever is today's theme and boy I'm I feeling it! Down here in the MIA it's felt like spring all year long and I'm not complaining. I LOVE warm weather and spring fashion collections, so this was the perfect theme for me.

Thanks to {AV} from {longdistanceloving} for another great Fridays' Fancies!

With that said... here's my Spring Fever Collage

My B-Day Weekend!

So I'm 26 years young and I'm honestly shocked how time flies...

It seems as if just a few years ago I was 3 years old running around the yard through the sprinklers, wearing just a ruffled bloomer, while my brother threw water balloons at me :-) Yes! That was the life.

Well anyway, back to reality and to my birthday weekend before I begin to reminisce and go on and on about childhood memories.

My Birthday Weekend!!!

Was awesome! I spent the whole weekend with my husband with little activities here and there that I planned for my birthday. We spent Saturday afternoon on the beach and then celebrated with friends and family at a delicious, savory Haitian restaurant on South Beach called  Tap Tap. This restaurant was not only sooo good that I'm looking forward to go again, but it was so rich in heritage in so many ways.

Ended the night breaking it down on the dance floor... doing what brought us together.
